QueenDUIS

Sponsorship for 2026 is open!

The Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies invites you to become a sponsor of the 67th annual Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies (QDUIS). Your support will help us to make our 67th year very special! The event to select our 2026 Queen will be held February 14th, 2026 at Monaghan Knights of Columbus in Livonia. Along with the competition, the night will include entertainment and a raffle for attendees.

The Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies (formerly known as the Maid of Erin) began in 1959. It is a competition for young women of Irish descent. The Queen is awarded a trip to Ireland to learn more about her heritage while visiting the land of her ancestors. The first and second runner up will receive a monetary award and accompany the Queen to events throughout the year. This competition helps to educate the next generation about their Irish heritage, provides leadership opportunities, and empowers young women in the Michigan community. In 2024 the Rosebud Program was introduced for girls aged 8 to 11 of Irish descent to shadow the Queen of the Detroit United Societies and her court. This program will be returning again for its 3rd year.

Over the years the program has grown – and it is our hope that with your support the Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies will continue to improve and expand.

Your sponsorship will help assure the success of the Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies program and competition. As the United Irish Societies is a 501(c)(3) organization we are happy to say that all donations are tax deductible. In order to best showcase our sponsors we request your submission by February 1st, 2026. Do not hesitate to contact our event committee with any questions or concerns.
